Our Teaching Philosophy

We believe in the importance of the teacher’s role, the support of the group and the power of real-time interaction to inspire kids’ creativity.

We trust the simulation that is brought by Virtual reality is able to stimulate the learning environment of a student. 8-9

For children age 8-9

we recommend starting with Coding Fundamentals – an introduction to programming using a block-based introductory programming language called Scratch. Scratch was developed at MIT especially for kids. It is fun to use, providing animated illustrations of abstract mathematical concepts. Kids create colorful stories, games and videos while learning about axes, parameters and variables.

10-14

For kids age 10-14

we recommend taking courses in the one to three-year App Development Sequence. Students learn, step by step, how to take a raw idea and turn it to a real product. At the same time, and almost without noticing, they are getting a broad introduction to coding. In their first year, students will learn the basics of coding apps and games, creating their own version of an existing app and installing it on their smartphone.

In their second year, students will code their own apps and acquire new design tools. They can even upload their finished apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play. In their third year, students will emulate real-life startup teams in launching their new apps. They will know how to pitch an idea to customer, work on it with their team and deliver the product on time.

15-18

For our teen graduates age 15-18

we offer students a chance to work on their own projects, closely guided by an experienced mentor in our in-house incubator. Those who excel throughout the entire program may be invited to join our teaching force first as TA's - strengthening their own coding skills while helping other students.

Core Courses

Coding Fundamentals

This introductory course invites kids to create games, videos, and stories while learning the foundations of coding so there’s no need for previous experience

Mobile App Development

They will write code for the first time, develop and design their own unique self-made products.

Elective

ROBOTICS FOR KIDS

In our course, Robotics for Kids, children will learn to code virtual 3D Robots.

YOUTUBE CREATOR

Our YouTube Creator course provides children with the tools to express themselves in an artistic and professional way.

PYTHON PROGRAMMING

Python for kids is exploding in popularity, as more parents and educators view it as a beginner-friendly kids coding language that imparts immediately transferable 21st-century skills.

Scientific studies from universities such as MIT have shown that students who learned programming as part of their curriculum performed on average 16% BETTER on cognitive ability tests than their non-programmer counterparts.

Computational thinking enables kids to grasp algorithmic thinking and methodical step-by-step problem solving. They learn to solve complex problems by breaking them down into smaller components, and even develop new ways of thinking!

Kids learn the way things work. They also build perseverance, as coding and debugging requires patient analytical work! Best of all, they can apply their skills in other important fields, especially science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM).

Our objective is to empower youngster in Penang to be designers or creators of technology through STEAM-based learning (i.e., Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math).

In the 21st century, information technology is vital in our daily life. Many jobs done by humans in the past are gradually replaced by technology.

 

We strongly encourage every child from the age group 6-9 years old to participate the Junior Adventurer Program and 10-14 years old to participate the Young Coder Program.
The free trial program usually is held on the last Saturday of the month, from 10am to 12pm.
Let us know in advance if you are interested because the slots are limited.

Founded in Medini, Iskandar Malaysia, Owlnext Edu is an educational technology (EdTech) company aimed to develop digital literacy skills of tomorrow workforce. Utilizing Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technologies, Owlnext Edu team crafted our own platform, “Owlnext Lab” especially for kids to learn about coding/programming in an immersive environment. Our core philosophy revolves around that coding / programming will be the second language for future workforce. To accomplish this, Owlnext Edu conducts coding/ programming workshops actively in Malaysia, primarily Johor and Penang

Sato, is Malaysian/Japanese. Currently based in Iskandar Malaysia. He is passionate about Technology, Innovation and Developing Education Ecosystem to enhance the Digital Literacy Skills of tomorrow workforce and empower talents into Smart Community and Human Competency in Technology Development. With emerging technologies such as VR/AR/MR, AI, Blockchain, Coding etc., he sees these as an ecosystem platform to enhance the kids, college students and adults/parents to learn more about innovative and creativity & problem solving skills. 

ADRIS ICHIRO - a.k.a. AI

Apart from being a web and app developer, I enjoy most of my time exploring music. As a malaysian, I enjoy eating foods and traveling around the cities. Playing games and watching filmaking tutorials are also how i spend my time with friends When forced indoors, I follow a number of sci-fi, base on real life story and fantasy genre movies and television shows, I am an aspiring reader and history fan, and I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest technolgy advancements in the front-end web development world and Javascript advancement especially cross-platform framework like React Native.
